What we do

We develop programmes in response to the observation of the multiplicity of problems that threaten the operations of businesses within the private sector of Guyana, particularly small to medium enterprises (SME’s). Today, the internet has expanded the scope of competition for local business owners, particularly with the proliferation of online shopping.

The need to implement and/or maintain high standards within businesses is crucial to their viability and survival, and by extension, the private sector as a whole. For this reason, a strategic element of the business is the sensitization of staff through training, certification and the issuance of Excellence Pins to point-of-sale service providers, thereby ensuring that they understand the importance of providing excellence in service. Additionally, we coach business owners to develop a business mindset necessary for growth and profitability.

Recognizing the competitive business environment that currently exists in Caribbean and globally, business establishments are at risk of suffering losses due to reduced sales by fewer customer visits. It has been proven that the delivery of effective service creates satisfied customers who are converted to loyal customers from whom more sales, and ultimately profits will come.

Loyal customers in turn become advocates, creating word-of-mouth advertising of the customer experience they’ve received. Employees become happier at work thereby reducing staff turnover and improving teamwork resulting in less recruitment cost. Lyndell Danzie-BlackFounder & CEO

Lyndell Danzie-Black is the Managing Director of Cerulean Inc. – a Business Development, Training and Consulting firm based in Guyana. Ms. Danzie-Black is an International International Trainer who provides corporate training and business development to many local, regional and international companies. Lyndell was selected as one of 20 global women in the Women Leader of the World (WLW) program, a highly competitive 12-month Women Leader and Global Women Leadership Network program. More recently, Cerulean Inc. collaborates with ExxonMobil on their Corporate Citizenship program on Community Empowerment in Guyana as well as Youth Build International. Ms. Danzie-Black worked as the Program Director for Youth Build International Youth Project – ‘YouthBIz592’ in Guyana, with support by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB). Ms. Danzie-Black provides corporate training for several businesses in Guyana and the region, as well as cross-culture training, executive coaching and mentorship for clients of international companies and organizations. Cerulean Inc., is an approved training partner of the Small Business Bureau.

Michelle GentleOffice Manager/Marketing Executive

Michelle Gentle has worked in Customer Service Relations for over 10 years and has gained extensive experience and knowledge in dealing with people. In doing so she continues to hone multitasking and time-management skills, value patience, and above all being a most dependable team player. Michelle is a leader and takes all responsibilities seriously and works well within a team. As a self-starter, she thrives in a fast-paced environment and is always looking for bigger challenges and an opportunity to apply her experience and problem-solving skills. As a Marketing and Training Executive, Michelle supports the development of modules, manages training operations and provides marketing and sales leadership and support to her current team. Michelle possesses excellent event management skills and mobilizes and motives stakeholders and team members to meet the established goals and objectives. Michelle is qualified in Business Management and Marketing, as well as Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and is vested in personal growth and development evident by her participation in the "Joy At Work" program hosted by Bakke Graduate University.
